Day 2 of my Plumb Line Challenge. Now that school is out, 6:30AM is good time for Bible reading and prayer. This mornings scripture readings took me from 1Timothy 3 all the way through Philemon. The scriptures spoke volumes to my current circumstances.
You were prayed for today. Let me know if any of you are interested in attending the 8AM Eucharist service at the Cathedral anytime soon.
I'm looking forward to reading your Blogs over the next 30 days. If you have any questions or comments, please post them.
I have been enjoying my 30 Day Plumb Line Challenge, how about you? It has been awhile, but I attended the Eucharist service at the Cathedral yesterday. I felt it was important to go there and pray for myself, for our congregation, and for our country. I also went because from time to time we need to be reminded of God's grace and love for us.
I have been covering lots of ground in my Bible these past few days, which includes to the Book of Hebrews and James. Today I am in 1 Peter. I'd like to share a portion of scripture that was particularly meaningful to me:
"Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that is taking place among you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice insofar as you are sharing Christ’s sufferings, so that you may also be glad and shout for joy when his glory is revealed." -1Peter 4:12-13
